Tell us about your role and department
My internship gave me the opportunity to gain experience across Finance, HR and Payroll. In Finance, I supported daily financial operations, including processing invoices, reconciling accounts, preparing payment schedules and keeping financial records accurate and up to date.
I also gained exposure to month-end processes, expense tracking and working with different departments to resolve queries related to payments and financial documentation.
What has been your most exciting project?
One of the most valuable parts of my internship has been gaining practical experience across different areas of the business. Working with financial processes, reconciliations and reporting has strengthened my analytical skills and attention to detail, while my exposure to HR and Payroll has given me a broader understanding of how different functions contribute to the organisation.
What challenges have you faced, and how did you overcome them?
One of the key challenges has been recognising that people can have very different perspectives. Some may view a situation positively, while others may see it more critically.
I have learned the importance of understanding and respecting different viewpoints, which has helped me approach situations more thoughtfully and make balanced decisions.
What is it like experiencing your first corporate job
This is not my first corporate experience, but my time at Expleo has been a great opportunity to learn, take on new experiences and continue developing professionally.
Any advice for future interns at Expleo?
Stay focused on why you are here, allow yourself to grow and remember that being true to yourself will not derail your path as long as you remain genuine.
How has this internship helped you grow professionally?
I feel like I am a work in progress as I transition into different areas of the business.
This experience has given me the opportunity to learn, adapt and develop a broader understanding of how different functions work together within an organisation.
