Tell us about your role and department
I am a Software QA Intern working within the Quality Assurance Department. My role focuses on supporting the testing team to ensure software applications meet quality standards before they are released to users.
I assist with reviewing test cases, executing tests and identifying defects, while gaining valuable exposure to the software development lifecycle.
What has been your most exciting project?
My most exciting project has been working on a live financial platform. I have been involved in validating different user flows, identifying defects and ensuring the system works smoothly across various scenarios.
Working on a system that directly impacts real users has given me valuable insight into the importance of accuracy and reliability in financial services.
What challenges have you faced, and how did you overcome them?
One challenge was confidently raising defects with developers when I was unsure whether something was a bug or expected behaviour.
I overcame this by developing a better understanding of requirements and ensuring my defect reports were clear, detailed and supported by evidence.
This has improved my confidence, communication and collaboration with developers.
What is it like experiencing your first corporate job
Although this is not my first job, it is my first experience in a consulting role within a corporate environment. The experience has been exciting and has introduced me to a new level of responsibility.
Working with clients, adapting to new systems and delivering value in a professional environment has pushed me to become more proactive and confident in my skills.
