Starting point: a passion for software testing
Every career story has a beginning. Mine started at Expleo as a Software Testing and Validation Engineer, drawn by the challenge of working in a dynamic, innovation-driven environment in Romania. Little did I know, this was just the start of an incredible journey.
Shifting from technical work to people leadership
My career evolution at Expleo in Romania has been a step-by-step process, filled with learning and growth. Looking back, I can’t help but say, “What a journey it has been!” For me, each role naturally led me to the next one.
I started as a Software Testing and Validation Engineer, then advanced to Team Leader of Powertrain SW Testing and then went on to become a Team Leader of Software Validation Teams. In 2023, I became a Skill Manager of the Electronics & Embedded System department in Romania, and by April 2024, a Unit Delivery Leader for Software Testing.
Each step came naturally, driven by passion, trust, and continuous learning within Expleo’s operations in Romania. The most rewarding part? Growing as both a professional and a leader while helping to establish Expleo as a premier employer in Romania’s tech sector.
Challenges & lessons: building from the ground up
We’ve faced many challenges in the past years, but the most significant was developing a new capability in Expleo in Romania: vehicle software testing & validation for our key client, Stellantis.
It was a challenging undertaking as we started from scratch, lacking experience in logistics and resources. But that’s what makes working at Expleo Romania so rewarding—the opportunity to build something new and watch it flourish.
