From concept to object, in every details

As a mechanical design engineer at Expleo, you will design and develop mechanical components or systems, providing detailed 3D digital mock-ups and 2D drawings for a wide array of industries, including aerospace, automotive, rail, and defence.

Working alongside cross-functional teams in stress analysis, systems installation, and manufacturing, you’ll bring creative solutions from concept to completion, contributing to products that range from car plastic trims to aircraft structure’s critical parts and assemblies.

Does it sound like we’re talking about you?

You’re in the right place.

Expleo’s mechanical design engineering team delivers:

Bald man with blue eyes is smiling

At Expleo, I value the opportunity to work globally and connect with teams across different engineering fields. From the UK to the US, it’s inspiring to collaborate on challenging projects that push the boundaries of what’s possible.

A day in the life of an Expleo mechanical design engineer

Morning
Setting up for the day, checking emails and reviewing project updates; aligning with team members on any urgent issues.
Mid-morning
Diving into CAD modelling to refine designs, adjusting specifications as needed based on team and client feedback.
Noon
Working with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility, aligning with stress engineers, systems installation engineers and production engineers.
After lunch
Analysing feedback from the factory, suppliers and customer support, to modify the design or the material of the part.
Afternoon
Reviewing the part with internal stakeholders, to release the final design to the production team.
End of day
Assessing progress, setting priorities, and preparing goals for the next day.
