A little about yourself
I originate from India, where I completed my Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science degree.
After college, I began my career in development as a software engineer working for a large multinational consultancy for around three years. Around four years ago I took a career break to focus on my family and move to Ireland where we now live. Having been out of the workplace for a period it was a little daunting looking for employment until I came across the Expleo Women Returners programme, which is how I joined the company. This programme is set up to support and supply opportunities for women returning to the workplace, and luckily, I was able to take part in the programme.
In my free time, I love baking and doing various forms of traditional and digital artwork.
A typical day at work
- I would usually have a daily stand-up to discuss the project status, issues, and blockers.
- Reviewing and amending code, which is then reviewed and tested by our team of Business Analysts and QA’s.

Why did you choose to join Expleo as a Developer?
I joined Expleo Group as a Developer in March of 2022 through the returners programme, which was a fantastic opportunity for me. I found Expleo was one of the few companies that provide these types of opportunities for people who have taken career breaks and want a new start in life. Alongside this, the Expleo values resonated with me – Courage, Excellence, Collaboration, Respect, and Accountability. In Expleo, I’m comfortable being myself, while also being empowered to speak up and voice my opinions in any matter.

How would you describe the culture at Expleo?
The culture is centred around its people. Expleo's people are friendly and encouraging, and there is a healthy competitiveness that encourages us to advance in our careers. The work-life balance is excellent, allowing me to devote time to myself and further my education. There’s a fantastic resource group known as the ‘Wellbeing Warriors’ who work tirelessly to improve and educate employees about mental health, through various sessions and articles, keeping everyone’s well-being in check.

Expleo hosts various workshops and encourages us to upskill regularly. There are also many social gatherings to aid employees in getting to know each other and enhance relationships. The company also assigns career coaches to discuss our careers and expectations; they serve as a guide for our professional development.
