Can you tell us about your background and what led you to pursue a career in STEM? <\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

I\u2019ve been working in the tech field for several years now. I specialise in Robotic Process Automation (RPA), where we create bots that replace manual tasks people usually do on their computers. For example, if you\u2019re working in Excel, typing in some calculations, we can create a bot that does it for you. This frees up time for people to focus on more creative tasks, like analysis, while the bot handles repetitive, rule-based work.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve always been interested in technology and problem-solving, which led me to this career. My role as a developer is all about creating these bots, automating processes, and improving efficiency. It\u2019s something I enjoy because it combines my technical skills with the ability to make a real impact on businesses and the people who use these tools.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

What has been your biggest challenge as a woman in STEM? <\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

I\u2019ve been lucky in my career, but I\u2019ve seen how women can face challenges in this field, particularly with the gender gap in technical roles. In my experience, it\u2019s all about confidence\u2014having the belief in yourself to take on tough projects and not shy away from opportunities because you think they might not be for you. It\u2019s important to show that women can thrive just as much in STEM roles as men can.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

I\u2019ve been able to take various training courses and certifications through platforms like Expleo Academy, and the encouragement to push for professional certifications has really helped me advance. Expleo\u2019s focus on personal development has played a big role in my growth, and I\u2019m excited to keep progressing.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Can you describe a particularly rewarding project or achievement you've had while working at Expleo? <\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

A particularly rewarding project for me was developing automation solutions for a large client. It involved designing and implementing bots that streamlined their internal processes, improving efficiency and reducing human error. Seeing the bots work seamlessly, saving time, and ultimately helping the team focus on more critical tasks was incredibly satisfying. I\u2019m also involved in learning new skills around digital transformation, especially in moving systems to the cloud, which is an area I\u2019m excited about.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Expleo\u2019s culture is incredibly supportive and inclusive. I\u2019m part of the Women@Expleo group, where we meet regularly to discuss challenges and share advice. The company genuinely encourages women to pursue STEM careers and provides an open platform for us to share our experiences. I\u2019ve felt valued and supported by my colleagues, and this culture makes a real difference in how we grow professionally.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

How do you see your future at Expleo, and what are your career aspirations within the company? <\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

For now, I\u2019m really enjoying the technical side of my role, and I\u2019d love to continue developing my skills in RPA and other emerging technologies. I\u2019ve been working in this field for nearly eight years, and I aim to keep expanding my knowledge while contributing to impactful projects. I\u2019m not drawn to leadership positions, as I prefer the technical aspects of my work, but I\u2019d love to become a technical expert and continue to grow in that direction.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

What advice would you give to other women considering a career in STEM, especially those looking to join Expleo? <\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

My advice would be to just go for it. There\u2019s no reason why women can\u2019t thrive in STEM\u2014it\u2019s an incredibly rewarding and secure field with a wealth of opportunities. Confidence is key\u2014believe in yourself and your abilities. It\u2019s not about gender; it\u2019s about your skills and passion for the work. If you\u2019re passionate about technology and problem-solving, this is the right path for you. At Expleo, women are supported every step of the way, and there are great opportunities for growth, so I\u2019d encourage anyone thinking about it to take the leap.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
