How was your first day at Expleo? <\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

It was an interesting first day. I was very pleasantly surprised with the <\/span>laptop<\/span>,<\/span> the phone<\/span>,<\/span> the bag<\/span> and the umbrella and <\/span>everything <\/span>I<\/span> received<\/span>.<\/span> I felt very much welcomed and everything was <\/span>organised<\/span>,<\/span> ready to go<\/span><\/span>,<\/span><\/span><\/span> and it all <\/span>pretty much worked<\/span> on the first attempt. Everything was there ready for me.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

What\u2019s a typical day in the life of a Change Manager like? <\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

As a <\/span>P<\/span>roject <\/span>M<\/span>anager, <\/span>you’re<\/span> always trying to make sure that everyone else <\/span>has got<\/span> something to do and <\/span>you’re<\/span> facilitating<\/span> everyone else<\/span>\u2019s<\/span> job.<\/span> So,<\/span> part of that is <\/span>talk<\/span>ing<\/span> to your team. Make sure they know wha<\/span>t <\/span>they’<\/span>r<\/span>e<\/span> doing<\/span>,<\/span> w<\/span>here <\/span>they’re<\/span> going<\/span>,<\/span> and what <\/span>they need<\/span> to achieve and<\/span> dea<\/span>ling<\/span> with <\/span>any blockers<\/span> or <\/span>issues<\/span> they may have<\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

At noon, I try and go for a 20-minute walk with my dog to get a bit of fresh air and I quite often solve problems when I'm out walking. Creating client presentations, reviewing reports, looking for data, trying to solve any issues. I also have client facing project reviews, stakeholder management, making sure that all stakeholders are informed about the ongoing developments. Project management is about communication. Does everybody know what they need to know? Has everyone been made aware of what's gone wrong and what's gone right? Does everyone know that a decision has been made? <\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

I go to the office sometimes, so I try to arrange some meetings face-to-face, but I really enjoy hybrid working.<\/p>

Some clients work fast whilst others go quite slowly, so you need to make sure you’re keeping pace with that as you go through your work.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The people <\/span>I’ve<\/span> m<\/span>et<\/span>.<\/span> I’v<\/span>e<\/span> been<\/span> i<\/span>ntroduced <\/span>to <\/span>bright<\/span> and<\/span> v<\/span>ery experien<\/span>ced <\/span>pe<\/span>ople<\/span>,<\/span> a<\/span>nd ever<\/span>yone <\/span>seems to <\/span>be<\/span> happy<\/span> about what <\/span>they’re<\/span> doing and that just makes it <\/span>a nice pla<\/span>ce<\/span> to b<\/span>e. <\/span>At <\/span>Expleo<\/span> we’re<\/span> in a lucky position <\/span>because<\/span> the work is interesting <\/span>and so are the people<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

I like to get things done since <\/span>I’m<\/span> del<\/span>ivery<\/span> focus<\/span>ed<\/span>.<\/span> My greatest satisfaction is<\/span> when I get a team of people delivering <\/span>well<\/span>, which happens quite oft<\/span>en at <\/span>Exple<\/span>o<\/span>. As a group, we can generate <\/span>a <\/span>really good<\/span> output.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

It\u2019s a global organisation, but it’s also small enough to know most people and reach out to the leadership team including the business directors, the business unit actors, and sales team members.\u00a0\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
